Whatever the “quick fix” is you are looking for, it won’t be quick. Training, losing weight, starting a business, nurturing relationships, are all things that take time and dedication to flourish. That doesn’t mean we can't work smart. With so many things in life requiring time and dedication it makes the most sense to get the biggest bang for your buck. Unless there is nothing more you enjoy in your training than picking stuff up and putting it down it doesn’t make much sense to just train linear weight lifting. If all you train is bench press/ machines/ squats etc. all you’ll get better at is exactly just that. However, if you introduce complex movement patterns into your workout e.g. the lizard crawl and increase that complexity over time. You’ll achieve broader applications of strength.
Skill: #lizardcrawl 1. With each step add a push-up , working towards a one arm push-up using less assistance on way down, more assistance on the way up. 2. Isometric hold, contralateral support. 3. Beginner variation: Focus on stability. Keep the hips at shoulder height. Watch for sagging during the one arm push up and side plank landmarks.
